how crystals, diamonds and other
metals and gems are formed and how

again. Raymond Is an employe of

An interesting and patriotic pro
gram was given during the lecture
hour of the Sams Valley Grange on
Saturday night. Those furnishing
numbers were Mlas Dorothy Straus,
Frank Hansen, Walter Grant. Mrs,
Harry Tonn, with two vocal group
numbers by the audience. Good re
ports were given by the argriculture,
legislative, H. E., publicity and roads
committees. Harry Tonn was ad
mitted by demit as a member of the
order and Mrs. Bessie Murphy was
obligated in the third and fourth de
grees by Past Master H. E. Nealon.
The H. E. C. chairman, Mrs. J. L.
Frlnk, announced a hot tamale sup
per for the tie At Grange meeting, the
proceeds to go toward purchasing a
new stove for the kitchen.

Mlas Marlon Mellon, a former resi
dent of Talent, now living in Med
ford, Is a patient at the Community
hospital, where she submitted to a
major operation last week. Last re
ports stated Miss Mellon la recovering
satisfactorily.

Mcdford, Is convalescing from a re
cent lUness at the home of her
mother, Mrs. Irene Wells and Is now
able to be up and about for a short
time each day. Mrs. Beeson Is a
teacher in the Griffin Creek schools,

Mrs. Fred Rapp received word that
her sister, Mrs. Bay Coleman of Jack
sonville, Is a patient at the Sacred
Hear hospital, where she underwent
a major operation Monday morning.
