Howard Crawford, ECW artist who la spending the winter In the park and capturing many beautiful snow scenes on canvas, according to Roach. Howard is at Klamath Falls, and wilt probably return to the park with Roach next Tuesday. Roach aald the snow in the park, having melted during the last ten days' of mild weather, has frozen over with an ex cellent crust for skiing. He aald the snow has settled to lis Inches from a high point of the season of 146 Inches, reached during the height of the recent storm. Roach also report- ed a depth of eight Inches at Klam- ath Falls, but none on the west side j or tne oreenspnngs. Inspects Oregon Cares AI. Kott nauer, ECW inspector from Yosemlte national park, where he la master mechanic, was in southern Oregon the tatter part of the week on an In spection trip to Camp Oregon Caves. The Inspection work is part of a pro gram launched by Robert Fechner. national CCC commander. F. G. Whltworth, project superintendent of Camp Oregon caves, reported that Kottnauer expressed the oplnlan that the trucks at Camp Oregon Cavea are kept In far above the average condi tion, and that all equipment used at the camp la in excellent shape considering its age and use. Whlt worth has employed a system in car ing for the trucka whereby drivers are awarded a pennant each week for the best cared for truck. ' Unable to meet the princess, Cros by buys the hotel In which she lives and with the aid of a false mustache and beard, disguises himself as her waiter. Then, little by little, the prin cess warms to his charm and comes under the influence of his singing. And. although Crosby has to tend to the' princess' dogs and parrot and support her profligate family, he fin ally succeeds In winning her but not until many hilarious complications have entered into the romance. Several new hit tunes are sung by Crosby and also by Miss Carlisle, whose lovely soprano voice was heard in "She Loves Me Not," another Cros by picture. Lake O the Woods Frozen With1 30 Inches of snow there. Lake O' the Woods Is frozen over now, according to Hugh Rltter, ranger from that dis trict. Stationed at Medford C. L- East, formerly cleric at Camp Oregon Caves, will be stationed at Medford hereafter to handle major clerical work, according to officials of Crater lake national park service. To Regional Offices Miss Janle Smith, chief clerk at the offices of Rogue River national forest, will leave this evening for Portland to at tend a regional conference of chief clerks of the forest service pertain ing to office efficiency and organiza tion. Twenty clerks are expected to attend, and will each conduct a part of the session under the direction of A. H. Cousins, regional fiscal agent. (API William Tuber and Joseph J. Kehoe, elderly labor leaders, were acquitted tonight of murder charges developing from the death last September of James J. Kelly, a bus dispatcher, during the motor coach driver's strike.
