Y., offlo- today and announced: "On next Thursday I fhall name four persona, and I shall 'jharje them with the kidnaping of tho baby, Charles A. Lindbergh Jr. Two Women "Two of those I shall name are women. Two are men. Neither of the men I shall nane la Bruno Haupt mann." The florid Brooklyn lawyer declined to say whom he would name. To a apeclllc question as to Betty Clow, the baby's, nurse, he declined to make answer. He did, however, mention "Red" Johnson, who Is no longer In this country, as follows: "Mis Oow waa on more or leas frlnndly terms with Bed Johnson, who waa around Englewood (whero 'he Lindberghs spent part of their time). He waa examined at the time of the crime. However, I do not want to see him." The lawyer commented, in passing, that MIm Oow "showed no hysteria', crying, or the usual symptoms a wo man would normally ahow when a child to which ahe waa closely at tached la stolen. She waa cold." Flemlngton nests Flemlngton Itself sighed with relief today at the prospect of a week-end considerably calmer than the paat fow daye with their popping flash bulbs, the rushing of messenger boys, and the constant crowding on the courthouse steps. Most of the prlnclpala of the trial, Including defense and atato counsel, have departed, to spend the week end shaping the courses of action for next week. Rellly, at hla Brooklyn conference, aid: "We Intend to use three groups of witnesses to free Hauptmann. Ono group will establish a complete alibi. A second will Involve handwriting experts. The third will be made up of fingerprint experts. . "I have ftlt all along that Haupt mann would get off. Prom the be ginning I hava believed that there waa more than one person In this erlme, yet the Indictment names Hauptmann. excluslvely.- I.tmlhcrghs Imposed On "All the surrounding circumstances indicate that Colonel Lindbergh and hla wife were Imposed upon by some one In the housohold. Yesterday, for example, It was brought out In the testimony that the baby waa unac- customed to strangers and that no one had access to the child except those connected with the household." Rellly expressed satisfaction with the resulta of hla long cross examina tion yesterday of Colonel Lindbergh He said the fllor waa "a perfect wit ness for our sltle." Bruno Hauptmann himself will be the first witness when the defense gets Its chance, Rellly said. The prls- oner, pale aa a ghost now and lean . faced almost to the point of emacia tion, nss been studying at odd mo menta to Improve his English diction. Their movements, their entrances, were still another drama. Anne's unobtrusive entrance, that sent a murmur through the court room and brought some of the spec tators to their feet; her steady walk to the witness stand; Mrs. Haupt manu's dally attempt to edge nearer her husband. Emotions, held down with a steel grip, were In that court room. Mrs. Elsie Whateley, as ahe leaned forward and exclaimed, "My husbard was not In the habit of taking VI' 'let fiharpe out, was the only one who lost self-control for an Instant. Anne Lindbergh looked at her ba by's picture, told of his toys, heard how his body waa found. Lindbergh heard an attorney ak. "Are you armed. Colonel?" and answered quiet ly. 'I am not."
