Mr. FoTtmlller Dies William Fort miller of Albany, father of C. W. Fo.'t miller, manager of the J. C. Penney store at Ashland, died Wednesday, according to the Ashland Dally Tid ings. Mr. and Mrs. Fort miller were called to Albany on Sunday, due to the serious illness of his father. Rain During Night The federal weather bureau reported this morn ing that .18 of an Inch of rain fell between 5 p. m. yesterday and 5 a. m. today. The preceding 13 houts showed only a trace of precipitation. New Junior Forester Vernon T. Davla of Astoria has been appointed a Junior forester with the Rogue River national forest, and has been assigned to South Fork of the Rogue CCC camp as forest technician. 9 Visit "Lady May Mr. and Mrs. P. Dicker nt runn to city police that the truck he was driving the evening of November 31, un the Applegate road, struck a catf. The animal, owned by Amos McKoe of Star Copper route, received a broken leg and had to be killed. Langs at Caves Francis O. Lange a national park service landscape architect from San Francisco, ar rived In Medford this week and Is at Oregon Caves, examining construction projects there. He was a Medford visitor Thursday. To McMlnnvlIle Miss Lora Mitchell, Instructor at senior high school, left yesterday for her home in McMlnn vlIle. where her father, Charles Mitch, ell, passed away last Friday. Have Temporary Camps Several temporary camps for construction projects have been established In RASue River national forest, Karl Janouch, supervisor, announced to day. Fifty men from Applegate camp have been stationed at Talent for construction of a road along Ander son creek , to Goat Cabin ridge, and thence to Sterling. A side camp of 20 men from Elk Creek camp hr.s been established at Prospect, for work on a telephone line from Union Crek w uuEio rails by way of Prospect, and 30 men from South Fork of the Rogue camp have been stationed ct Butte Falls for work on the same project. Berks Go South Mr. and Mrs. Ml -chael Beck and their son and daugh ter are leaving tomorrow for Berke ley, Cal., where they plan to remain for Thanksgiving with their daugh ter LaMurle, who U a student at Ml.k college.
