spoke briefly, as did Congressman
Janea E. Mott, C. A. Howard, state
superintendent of public Instruction,
and O. H. Oram, labor commission
er, all candidates for re-election.
CONTRACT SIGNED
Word wns received this morning
from Washington, D. C, that the con
tract between the Reconstruction Fin
ance corporation and the Mertford Ir
rigation district for a (405.000 loan
for the retirement of bonded indebt
edness had been signed by govern
ment aides and had been forwarded.

districts, said this meant "the nego
tiations have been a success." Arn
splger said the "mechanics of the
transaction would take from 30 to 40
days." This Includes Invalidation Dt

Fear Girl Nudists

Nudist colonies have no place In
the Saw tooth national forest of
Central Idaho because of the for
est fire hazard.
N. 8. Benedict, supervisor of the
forest, In a message received hero
today, said nine Salt Lake City
girls had Inquired where there wa
a lake where "modern but refined"
young women might vacation
without clothes.
"Sawtooth days and nights are
cold, and the girls would have to
build fires," said Mr. Benedict.
"The forent fire hazard would be
too great."
He did not name the girl.

Mrs. Vorls was alleged to have shot
Harlan Bones, 10, Turner youth. In
the head, when he and three com
panlons were hunting on the Vorls
larm near Turner. Bones testified
that one of his group shot nnd killed
a pheasant, and that when they sent
a dog after It Mrs. Vorls shot at the
animal. When the dog was called
off Bones claimed the woman fired
several shots, one of which struck
him In the head.

following an alleged attack on an at
tendant while attempting to escape
from the school.
