OCTOBER 8, 193 PAGE FIVE STOCK SENT TO A carload of lat, aleek cattle wa ahlfJped last week by the Klrkland torm, owned by Mrs. Ruth Sparrow, to Portland lor exhibit at the Pac ific International Livestock Expoel- j tlon. The car was loaded Tuesday at j the Seven Oaks aide track by employes of the farm. Included In the car was the big j thoroughbred bull, which has head rl th herd for some time. With him were three milk cows and sev eral calves, besides a younger bull. The cattle are all of the Milking Shorthorn breed and had been spec ially groomed for the big show. Tom Harrison, foreman at the j Klrkland farm, who accompanied the car to Portland, said before leaving he hoped to bring home some good prtres with his cattle. Part of the young stockwll be sold at the show; also the big bull. CASCADE DELEGATES Many of the delegates who assem bled here over the week end for the Bhasta-Cascade Wonderland conven tion enjoyed trips Sunday to the House of Mystery on Snrdlne creek, according to those who have remain ed in Medford today. Trips previ ously planned to Crater Lake were abandoned due to rain and snow In the mountains. The delegation disbanded yesterday and most of the association mem bers left for their homes throughout southern Oregon and northern Cali fornia. There were also many forest service and other officials who at tended the convention from points outside the borders of the Wonderland. PENDLETON. Oct. 8.
