Armstrong by the company. L. Howard Crawford, the artist located at the camp, painted the picture, which haa been nlcel7 framed, and la on exhibit at the Jackson County Chamber of Com merce. On the border of the picture i written: 'To Major Armstrong, CO and friend, from hla 1634th Co.. CCC. Sept. 1934". Beneath the picture It printed "Camp Wlnegtass, KP 2, Cra ter Lake, Ore." Mrs. E'.da rariowe Anderson, of Ashland was elected president for the ensuing year. Mrs. Geo. 'Dunne, wife of State Senator Dunne, of Ashland, waa elected vice president. Both elections were unani mous. The other officers are perma nent. During the nominations for presi dent. Senator Dunne was nominated. but retired In favor of Mra. Anderson. At the nomination of vice-president. Mrs. Dunne was nominated, but tlie chair misunderstood, and called a vote for the Senator Instead, who wr.s promptly elected, before the difficulty could be straightened. The mater was finally cleared up. with Mrs. Dunne elected for the new year. . Two violin numbers were greatly enjoyed by the pioneers. Miss Marjory Paley. accompanied by her grand mother. Mrs. Hattle Reames Whit?, was encored after her boautlful ren dition of "Kathlene." The obituary of the members wha have passed on during the past yeir was then read by the secretary, Mr.. Mamie Nelson. The obituary list Is as follows: Mrs. Mary M. Dunne, has. Hill Gil bert. John J. Murphey, Mrs. F. G. McConnell, John Bamcburg, Mrs. LEADER 10 TALK Rev. J. R. Stewart, the new district superintendent of this district will be here Friday evening and conduct special services over next Sunday.
