Group musical numbers will be given by pupils of the school, and a feature will be the pound party, planned for the benefit 01 the school lunch room. Membera are asked to bring some article from the list of staple gro ceries. Card Party f Pleasant Affair. The card party at the Catholic Parish hall last evening, sponsored by the St. Ann's Altar society, was greatly enjoyed by those present. Prizes went to Ray Lewis. Mrs. Wiley, Mrs. Edwards, and Miss Marie Brown, who la visiting here from San Francisco. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Rose Scheffelln, assisted by Mrs. Rose Slngler. (tJT) Arthur Rasmussen, farmer near here, report ed finding a brood or five Ub!no pheasants, a great rarity, as few white birds of this species are ever seen. Arthur Schmidll, a resident of Med ford for the past nine years, where he has been engaged In heating and air conditioning contracting, passed away suddenly Wednesday at his home on Ross lane. Mr. Schmidll was born at Oregon City, Ore., Oc tober 30, 1890, and made his home In and near Oregon City for many years. In 1925 he was united in marriage to Juanita Blankenshlp in Portland. After making their home In Portland for some little time they moved to Marshfleld. then came to Medford. Mr. Schmidll Is survived by his wife and one son, Ronald of Med ford; one daughter by a former mar riage. Gertrude Schmldli. of Sacra mento. Cal.; his mother, Anna Schmidll, Oregon City; and two sis ters. L1U1 Schmidll of Portland, and Mrs. Delbert Lathers, of Ypsllante Mich., besides a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at the Conger funeral parlors Saturday, Sep tember 29, at 10 a. m., by the Chris tian Science church, after which the body will be taken to Oregon City for interment.
