The hour for even ing services was advanced from 8 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. on Sundays. The following were elected to their respective offices: President, Rev. Oeo. P. Kabele; vice-president Rev. Joseph Knotts; secretary and treas urer, Capt. G. R. Durham. On adjournment It was voted to meet on the first Tuesday In Octo ber with President Kabele. Before adjourning the following resolutions .fcwera unanimously adopted: "We, the Ministers' Association of Medford, Ore., In regular meeting as sembled, having been advised that the Rev. W. J. Howell, pastor of tho First Presbyterian church of Medford and secretary-treasurer of the asso ciation, Is soon to leave this city, adopt the following resolutions: 'First That we hereby express our 1 egret at the loss of so faithful and valuable member of this association as the Rev. Howell has proved him self to be. "Second That we express our ap pre elation of him as a conscientious. fearless and able preacher of the gos pel; earnest In his endeavor to follow the Christ he preaches and willingly helpful in every endeavor for church and community. ED VISIT HERE SAYS LI Robert Fechner, director of the CCC, evidently liked Medford when he was here, as the following letter received today by B. E. Harder, presi dent of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, would imply: 'Hon. B. E. Harder, President, "Jackson County Chamber of Com merce, Medford, Oregon. "Dear Mr. Harder: I have Just re turned to the Washington office, com pleting an extensive Inspection trip of CCC camp work in the seventh, eighth and ninth corps areas. "I sincerely appreciate the many courtesies extended to me by cltl- Kens with whom I came in contact while on this trip. The evening that I spent in Medford was one of the most delightful of the entire trip, and I want to thank you and your associates moat heartily. "I am very glad to know that the camps located in the vicinity of Med ford have proven a stimulus to busi ness there, and that the work that the -boys are doing Is meeting with the approval of the people of Oregon. "My visit to Crater Lake has con vinced me that It was impossible to xaggera'-e the wonderful beauty of the lake .nd the surrounding coun try.
