Clark Gable Heads Impressive Cast One of the finest motion pictures speaking from both artistic and en tertainment standpoint to be shown In Medford for quite some time, Is now playing at the Craterlan theatre. Manhattan Melodrama", with an Impressive cast headed by Clark Gable, William Powell and Myrna Loy. not only has been elaborately mounted, but, more Important, re tains the simple drama with broad appeal that makes It an outstanding achievement. There Is an understandable situa tion, presented clearly and complete ly. And there la iorceful wallop In Its presentation, as Is attested by at tentlveness given the picture by the audlenca at all times. It Is a life drama of two men and a woman, modern ly romantic. It In cludes many sparkling comedy mo ments and suspense, made even more dramatically effective by perfect act ing on the parts of all concerned. The story Is laid In New York, and covers a period of years. Actually It Is the story of two boys, orphaned by a steamship disaster, further bereft when their foster father is killed dur ing a riot.
