Rogue Are Enjoyed
A very pleasant day was spent at

lives at Dodge Bridge. A number of
her friends surprised ner cy cringing
a plcnlo lunch, who was enjoyed on
the banks of Rogue river. After lunch
swimming was the dlvenlon.

luck dinner Friday evening at the
Girls' community elub.

heart" and the decorations were car
ried out as on board ship under a
sky of silver stars.

furnished by toasts, carrying out the

of Mrs. Walden Inst Tuesday. Mr.
and Mrs. H. O. Wortman, who ex
pect to leave within a few days as

Sisters to attend grand lodge at Chi
cago, were given a shower of many
nice gifts.
Bridge and pinochle were played
during the evening, prises going to

Meets Wednesday
The Loyalty club of tht Eagles met
at the Seven Osks dance pavilion on
the Jacltaomille highway Wednesday.
A potlurk dinner waa served at noon
to thirty persoi's.
A quill top waa prepared for Hunt
ing. In the alternoon the meeting
was called to order by the president.
Two new members were taken Into
the organisation.
The hostesses In charge were Llbby
root, Dorrltt and Cecil Sullivan,
Theresa Blanchl assisted the hos
tesses and furnished the hall.
The next meeting will be In charge
of Ursula Chlltl ret li, Lula Thurston
and Bessie Powell, with a meeting In

Unions of Jackson and Josepnlne
counties met In Lithla park Thursday
for a successful institute. County
president, Mrs. Augusta McCormlck,
presided over all the sessions. Mlsa

morning devotions with Mra. R. T.
Holmes of Ashland leading noontide
prayer service. The Misses Bangs and
Shafer. evantrellsts. sane several trios
which were much appreciated. It
was estimated that nearly 300 per

noon.
The afternoon session was opened
with devotional exercises led by Mrs.
Hayes of Grants Pass, taking as her
