Cat Adopted Rabbit.

cause, a cat adopted a rabbit on a
farm near hero recently and la en
gaged In raising It. The rabbit did
not have Its eyes open when the cat
brought It Into the farm yard carrying
It by the nape or the neck. Mother
cat and the bunny appear contented.
"Skin the Cat" Was Fatal.
CLEVELAND (UP) A game Of
"skin the cat" brought death to Rob
ert Carl Mehellc, 13-year-old amateur
gymnast. The boy strangled when
one of the straps In his Improvised
gymnasium became twisted around
his neck. His father found him In
the boy's basement gym when he was
missing at bedtime.

a package which he had mailed to
his family 19 years ago while he was

Residents of this villus recently were
flnbbergnsted when thousands of po
tato bugs came rolling in on the
breakers, covering the shore for about
a mile. It was believed the bugs
"floundered" after flying out over
the Delaware or the Maryland coasts.
Conscience Paid $50 lit Taxes.
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (UP) The
town tax collector has S0 received
from some conscientious resident who
paid his taxes and. through an over
sight, failed to get a receipt. The
money has been set aside until the
taxpayer returns, probably with a
complaint.
