(AP) The White House today made public an executive order by President Roosevelt abolishing the national re covery review board, headed by Clar ence Darrow. The president's executive order said that "the board, has made three reports to the president in the exer cise of its 'duties and functions and has substantially completed the work for which It was established" and that because "tho chairman and two other members have resigned reports would not be representative of the board as originally constituted." He called upon the remaining members to take steps to discontinue the board. (AP) While her husband, national flight champion, waa breaking his own state record, Mrs. Homer Prouty of Port land, competing in the State Archer asociation tournament here yester day, shot an arrow a greater distance than any woman archer in the United States has ever been able to achieve in open tournament. Mrs. Prouty's arrow traveled a distance of 366 yards, establishing a new record in the women's division. Mr. Prouty, in the open flight com petition, set a new state record of 461 yards, breaking his previous mark by one yard. Ralph Miller of Seattle, national target champion, was high scorer in the target events. The state title was taken by Leslie Seahorn of Med ford, with Bert Cowling of Marcola second and Dick Adcock of Portland third. Miss Ruth Tawney of Portland won the women's championship, with Faith Llndross of Corvallis second and Edna Stewart of Coquille third. Dr. L. B.
