Two Lightning Fires The Rogue River National Forest offices reported today there were two small fires yes terday afternoon, caused by lightning. They were on the South Fork of Rogue river, and on the Applegste. Dunning Is Fined Ralph E. Dun ning, of 240 South Riverside avenue, was fined $1 and costs of 84.50 In Justice of the Peace W. R. Coleman's court for having no operator's li cense. Dunning paid both costs and fine. Reports Accident O. A. Deter of Lakevlew reported to the city police that at 7:45 o'clock last evening, his automobile collided with the rear of another car, damaging fender, bump er, hub cap and license. The accident occurred at the corner of Eleventh and Front streets. Edward Pisaiski of Camp Tyee will be assigned to the quartermaster, John P. Burke of Unrip Wineglass, to the adjutant'! offioe and Norval E. Wiley of the same camp, to the motor trans portation officer. For duty with the motor transpor tation, 'Arthur Ayres, Wallace A. Free land, -Mike L. MoLlne, Clarence W. Miller and George B. Sherwood of Annie Springs are ordered to report, and from the same company, Joseph R. Wallace and Paul O. Williams are assigned with the quartermaster. From Camp Dog Lake, Fred Brlggs, Irvln M. Cox, Conrad Jackson and Clayton McCullah are assigned to the motor transport and Alfred S. Claw son, to the quartermaster, Carl B. Nabb and Donald M. Bat- nett are coming in from Camp Ag ness for duty in the adjutant's office, as are Ray F. Coen, Frank Donovan and Charles Jennings of the Oak Knoll camp In northern California. For motor transportation duty, Ed ward J. Galua, Percy A. Keltner and Charles R. Moore will report from Devils Flat, and Howard W. Thomp son from Camp Melrose. Also going to that office are Jack Weinberg of Camp Bradford and Roy O. Moore of Camp Upper Rogue River. Gear, federal department of justice agent, announced today after ques tioning Don Rodriguez, 23, held for investigation in the kidnaping of seven-year-old June Robles of Tucson, Ariz., that he gained Information Which will result In further Investi gation of the case. Gear, who questioned Rodriguez, said he cannot disclose the Informa tion he obtained but that It definitely is worth following up." It was Intimated the investigation will turn to Tucson where June Roo- ies was kidnaped In April, and that probably a federal agent or a man from the sheriff's office here may be sent to Tucson. In the meantime au tborlties here have asked Tucson o flclals to check certain angles of the kidnaping, they said. Rodriguez was arrested here several days ago on a charge of attempted robbery.
