Live Oak Grange held an Interesting
meeting Monday, with 36 members
present. A program was given under
the direction of the worthy lecturer.
The usual business meeting was hold
at the close of which a social hour
was enjoyed. The committee served
refreshments. June 18, the Live oak
Grange will meet at the hall for a
pot luck lunch at T30. The evening
will be spent socially.
Rev. and Mrs. Sidney Harri were
visiting In Rogue River Friday, from
their home at Wlldervllle.
Harley Cummlngs left Saturday for
Astoria, where he will be employed
for the summer,
J. W. Bowdoln, a student minis
ter of Albany arrived here Friday and
will have charge of the Presbyterian
church during Rev. Condon's visit to
Alaska.
Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Neimuth were
dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Hull at Grants Pass May 30.
Mr. Gladys Orr and small son re
turned Tuesday from Eugene, where
they had spent the week visiting her

Fowler Friday. The ladles gave Mrs.
Conden a handkerchief shower during
the afternoon. Thirty-five beautiful
handkerchiefs were received by Mrs.
Conden, who will leave soon for a
summer's vacation visiting at various
places.
Prim Johnston and family left Fri
day of this week for the summer va
cation at their home In the northern
part of the state. They were accom
panied by Miss Bertha Buford, who
will spend the summer at her home
visiting her parents.

Boy scouts, under the leadership of

time was had.

will be an election at the Antelope
school house Monday, June 18. A
new director and school clerk will be

A splendid children' day program
waa presented Thursday evening at
Talent grange.
The program consisted of two Im
pressive drills, two group songs, "Op.
enlng Song for Juveniles," and "The
Sunshine Man," a reading. "Habit uf
Birds," and recitation, "It Couldn't
Be Done." Children taking part were
