The win waa a very popular one a Plckard ahot agalnat professional from several different state to win th prise and ha been a hard worker In th Med ford club, Oeorge Porter, one of th new member of the home club, made the splendid score of 4 out of 10 In th handicap event, a very remarkable score for a new shooter. Moulton tied tor fourth with 10. Officers or the club said It waa the largest and moet auccessful ahoot held In Medford for more than 30 year. Shooter from five atate con tested, some of the places represent ed being Ogden. Utah: Reno, Nevada; Del Mont, San Francisco, MoCloud, Eureka, Yreka, Redding, Dunsmulr. and other California cities; Tacoma, Washington: and Portland, Itigene, Roseburg, Klamath Palls, Bend, Co quills. Ashland, Salem and other Oregon cities, It waa especially grati fying to the Medford club that the ahoot waa ao largely attended by vlaltlng shooters from auch a wide territory rather than being limited to practically local shooters. The cash purae distributed were great drawing cards tor outside ahootere but the trophies were the coveted prises. Medford merchant and business men donated thirty ape rial prises that were distributed among the shoo ten. Nearly seven thousand targets were trspped during the dsy. Lunch was served on the ground. The second award, three golf balls, went to E. E. Kelly, attorney, who re ceived a low net score of 68. R. G. Bardwell placed third In the first eighteen hole of the Jubilee tourna ment, with a low net of 69, and fourth place waa divided In a tie be tween F. C. Cone and H. M. Price, each with net 70a. Thirty-two golfers participated In the first rounds, and represented the Oregon Diamond Jubilee conscious from several states.
