' No Wrecking Permit Albert Pray, of Central Point, waa arrested by state police Friday for maintaining a wrecking house without a license, pray was sentenced to appear at jus tice court. Visits Brother Charley Conaway la visiting his brother, Claire Conaway at San Rafael, Calif., where la la sta tioned In the U. S. Army at Hamilton field. He left here Wednesday morn ing by motor. Shasta Sked Changed The sched ule for the north bound Shasta has been changed from 10:33 a. m. to 10:53 a. m., It waa announced yester day by A. S- Rosenbaum, local South ern Faclflo agent. CCC Boys Arrested Harold Flynn, 18, and Glen Mahan, 19, both of the Applegate CCC camp, were arrested by city police Frldsy night on ohsrges of being drunk In a public place. Johnson, of 330 South Central, waa arrested In Grants Pass Friday night by atate polios for operating a commercial truck with no Public Utilities license. Re was fined $10 and oosta for the of fense, and also S and costs for hav ing no license on a trailer. Season Opens The fishing season at Diamond lake opened today, It waa announced by George L. Howard, manager, who was In Medford recent ly. Mr. Howard has been at the lake alnce the first of May, and says that the cottages at the resort have been repaired and repainted for this sum mer's visitors. He saya the fishing In the streams near the lake has been excellent. i Accident at Central and 4th An accident at the Intersection of Central and 4th waa reported at the city po lice station yesterday Involving Ruth Mlnear, Kings highway, and Earl W. Weaver, 84 Rose avenue. Tha report showed that the Mlnear car had the right of way, and waa struck In the aide near the rear by the auto driven by Weaver, The accident occurred at 13 :30 a. m. Rltter announces that 10 men are now lo cated In a camp near Heavenly Twins, and are at work on the Skyline trail, which will extend from Lake of the Woods to Mt. Hood, along the Cas cade divide. Three Receive Bruises Three occu pants of a car driven by Cornelia W. Barnes, of Phoenix, received bruises In an accident yesterday at the inter section of 4th and Front. The Barnea car, going west on 4th, wss struck by an auto driven by Martha V. An derson, route 3, who was driving north on Front street. Those Injured were Mrs. E. D. Wilson. Mrs. Jim McAbee. and Mrs. Barnes. The collision turned the Bamea car over on its aide. Postmaster to Portland Prank De Souaa, postmaster, left for Portland last night on official business, and will return Tuesday morning. Mr. DeSouza will confer with the central accounting post office about the change In the stamp accounting sys tem which has been recently inau gurated here. Mr. DeSouza saya that heretofore all stamps bought by the local postofflce were secured from Washington, D. C, and that the change will facilitate the buying of etamps from the Pacific coast dis tributing office, located in Portland The system Is receiving a trial throughout the country, with Oregon as the west coast distributing point, and New Jersey the location of tne east coast accounting office. Conger, president of the Oregon Funeral' Di rectors' association, returned to Med. ford Friday evening from Portland, where he presided at the 31st annual convention of the association.
