Mr. and Mrs. Brewer and daughter of San Francisco have returned to their farm on Indian creek for the summer. Mrs. Joyner and son Ned and wife and two children visited Mr. Kins and Mrs. Joyner's father, Mr. Ham ilton, a few days. Mr. Joyner and family have returned to San Fran cisco but Mrs. Joyner Is staying here a while longer'. Mrs. Miller, who has been In Salem some time for treatment, has returned hers and Is visiting her parents, Mr.' and Mrs. Ben Brlstow, She Is much Improved In health. Mr, and Mrs, Charles Humphrey of Reese creek celled on Mr, and Mrs. John Laden Sunday. David Smith has moved on to a homestead on Dead Indian creek and has been busy putting up fence and planting. A number of men around here have secured Jobs on the roads, which I a great help. Mrs. Rena Matlock and children are staying at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hall snd caring for her mother, who ha been quite 111. Mr. Schofleld's son -and wife and two children of Pasadena, Cel., are expected her Sunday for a visit. They expect to be her the rest of the sum mer. Mr. Brlstow and son Lew mads a trip to Salem last week and brought Mrs. Mildred Miller home with them. Mr. and Mrs, John Laden visited In Medford and attended the United Spanish Wsr Veterans' meeting lsst week. Mrs. Laden has not been very well this spring, but Is better now, Vincent Edlefsen and family cam up here from Pasadena to visit hi brother Al and family. His father, who had been down there all winter, returned with him and 1 staying her now.
