Egypt and Romance of Excavation.
Egypt did not have any beginning or
starting point known, being the only
country In civilization that hasn't a
recorded beginning. However, all
types and lives of ancient peoples are
revealed on stone and rthe ancient
tombs carry many interesting facts
which make them valuable and ro
mantic and Mrs. Hanby In her pre
sentation carried members to these
tombs In a realistic manner.
Mrs. A. R. Hedges gave the book
review, "The Lion," by Martin John
son, and introduced the Johnsons
and their beautiful home at Nlrobie,
Africa, and their activities. The
Johnsons have done much to- bring
the picture tof the African Jungles to
Americans, but while they shoot the
animals with the camera they seldom
shoot a Hon or any other anlmat for
sport and when they do they are
very apologetic about It, saying it has
not long on this earth anyway, or
something to that effect.
Current events were given by sev
eral ladies and many Interesting '
Items about Africa were presented.
