After locating the groans, first heard by his sister, Mr. Pursel rushed Into the cabin to find Mr. Reevea lying on ths floor by the stove. After putting him on the bed It wss noticed his right side was paralyzed. Dr. Plndley of Medford was summoned, but ordered Mr. Reeves taken to the hos pital. Efforts sre bolng made to locate Mr. Reeves' son-in-law, Lester St. John, Isst hesrd of In Medford seversl months ago. Mr. snd Mrs. Perry Spencer end son, Jack, apent Monday here visiting the former's uncle, J. A. West on Little Applegate, en route to their home at Berkeley, Calif., from Roseburg, where they visited Mr. Spencer's mother. Miss Maude Pool wss in Medford Mondsy visiting Mrs. A. V. Graves. Mrs. C. Miss Maude Pool, Applegate editor of the Jacksonville Miner, Is suffering from an attack of the flu. Reverend and Mrs. Iverson of Med ford visited the Sunday school at Little Applegate last week. The Sun day school waa organised February 35 by Mrs. Mollle Kllenhammer after a visit from Rev. Iverson and Rev. Jones of Jacksonville. Officers ars Mra. Mollis Kllenhammer, superin tendent; Mra. Ethel West, Musician; Miss Luetta West, assistant musician; Mrs. Vlsva Saltmarsh, secretary and treasurer; Mrs. Mollis Kllenhammer, Bible teacher; Mrs. Irene Crump, In termediate teacher; Mra. Ethel West, primary teacher. The young peo ple's clasa has been combined with the Bible clasa until the new supply of quarterlies come In April. Upper Little Applegate road has been put In a better condition by the residents of that community who do nated their labor. Last Monday there were 14 men turned out and apent the day In repairing the road. It now Is In a fairly good condition from the Case ranch, or at the upper end of the road, down to the J. J, Mun sell place. This Is a part of the road ths county grader never goes over and extends about 6 miles. Mrs. Mary Pursel spent the fore part of this week visiting Mrs. Dora Cameron at Jacksonville, while having dental work done. Due to trr constant Increase In lumber ordsrs, Nelson Pursel, has purchased another as horse power engine and la Installing It at his saw mill on Yale creek. With the In atallatlon of the new engine, Mr. Pur sel will hsve twice the power he now has and la planning to get the orders out In half the time.
