Will Fly to Ski Meet Jim Dally and Aubrey Sander have announced that they will fly to Crater Lake Sunday for the ski tournament and view the events from the air. Red Bells on Display A beautiful bouquet of red bells, commonly found In the southern Oregon hills, Is on display today at the chamber of com. meree. The flowers are of unusual slae and are more frequent on the stalk as result of cultivation. They were grown by Mrs. Laura E. DIaa of Central Point, who moved the plants from their woodland home Into her garden. Puller Gives Pictures The forest pictures shown at the Applegate CCC camp Tuesday evening were given by W. R. This ques tion is answered in the startling prison drama. "Day of Reckoning," starring Richard Dlx, at the Studio theater today and Saturday. Two of the great battlers In fllm dom clash in -Tom Keene'a western, "Scarlet Rfver," the second feature on the double bill. They are the film atar and Creighton Chaney, son of the late Lon Chancy. Keene. as a movie cowboy encoun tering real dangers, and Chaney as a range desperado, battel twice during the production in actual style. BOB STEELE COMING IN NORTHERN FILM Thrilling tale of a man hunt In the trackless snowdrifts of the froz en north, "Trailing North," starring Bob Steele, ace western star, comes to the Roxy theater tomorrow. It Is an entertaining story of a young ranger who traits a killer Into the frozen north to find htm at last in a gambling saloon. Complications ensue when the ranger falls in love with the pretty red-headed girl friend of the fugitive killer. FURNITURE OF DEFUNCT Jeanette MacDonald and Ramon No varro, co-starred in "The Cat and the Piddle" st the Cratorlan theatre until tomorrow night, are making decided hit with romantic and singing talent. In the liquidation of the Citizens' bank of Ashland, an order was sign ed yesterday by Judge H. D. Norton, authorizing the state bank superin tendent to sell certain furniture of the institution, that closed Its doors March 12, 1932. Paul Merrlam of Ashland bll $7.50 for an oak top desk. T. P. Resttgan of Portland, bid 14 for four oak chairs. An order was signed also authoriz ing the sale of a filing cabinet and a signature card case to T. P. ReatlgAii of Portland for $21. When the young girl comes to him and requests him to enter her horse In a forthcom ing race, he advises the boy to place all his savings on the horse. The hi larious method by which the horse trader brings the horse home a win ner is said to bring the film to a hap py and amusing conclusion.
