Sunday School Sentence Kenneth Sutherland, arrested by city police, charged with being drunk In a public place, appeared before Police Jude A. D. Curry late yesterday and was sentenced to spend five days In city Jail and to attend Sunday school for at least 10 Sundays. Judge Curry said the desire of the court is to give the youth a chance to Improve him self. Named Delegates Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Daniels and the Misses Carlton have been asked to represent Medford at the National Recreational associ ation conference of the western dl vision In Santa Barbara, April 5, 0 and 7, the Chamber of Commerce board of directors announced today. Letters, announcing the conference and asking for representation from this city, were received some time ago. Birthday Ten Friday The Women's association of the Presbyterian church is making arrangements for a large crowd at the annual birthday tea to be sponsored at the home of Mrs. Hamilton Patton, Friday afternoon of this week. Quests are Invited for the hours of 2:30 to 6 o'clock. Mrs Patton's father, Mr. Warner, will give an Illustrated lecture on his recent trip to South America, and a fine musical program is promised. Dr. Page Speaks Tonight Tonight at 7:30, John C. Page, D.D., of Chicago will give the opening address of the three-day Bible conference to be held In the Baptist church. Dr. Page Is well known as a Bible teacher and radio speaker throughout the country and Is chief executive of the extension department of the Moody Bible Insti tute of Chicago.
