Prentice entertained last evening with a dinner party hon oring her son. Bill, and a group of hla high school friends. Medical Auxiliary Entertained Here The first meeting of the new year for the Women's Auilllsry to the Jackson County Medlcsl sssoclstlon wsa held at the home of Mrs. R. W. Stearns last Thursday with the new officers presiding: Mrs. R. w. Betsms, president; Mrs. Harold Olllla, vlce prealdent: Mrs. C. I. Drummond, secretary-treasurer. Mrs. R. B. Green gave an Interest ing paper on the constructive work for Infantile paralysis, being carried on at the Warm Springe Foundation In Georgia. Mra. A. E. Woods of Ash land entertained with two piano aoloa. The members then presented Mrs. Woods with a lovely remembrance In appreciation of her work of the past two yeara as president of the auxil iary. Tea was served at the close of the program with Mrs. Wm. W. P. Holt pouring. I.oosl Relief Corps Entertains Central Point Chester A. Arthur Relief Corps No. 14 held regular meeting Thursday with Central Point Relief Corps sa guests. Six candidates were initiated end one application for membership was received. Several quilt blocks were turned In by members of the corps. Mrs. Smith of Central Point con ducted the musical service In the absence of the rorpa musician. She waa presented flowers as were also the new members and Comrade Wooda. TVenonah Club Gives Card Party A public card party was given by the Wenonah club at the Redman hall on Friday evening, the committee arranging the affair being composed of Bernlce Wilson and Mabel Quack enbush. High scores for 600 were held by Maude Abbott snd Glenn Abbott snd low score went to Glsdys Dooms. Minn., who were ac companied by Mra. Newbury's mother Mrs. Walter Leach, in a motor trip over the southern route to this city. While here they were guest of Mr. Newbury's father, Ous Newbury, snd his brother, Donald Newbury, and families. Because of their limited stay they were unsble to visit many friends. The Medford Newburys, now- ever. did oonsiaeraoie enieruumug for them during the hurried visit. Cerl Newbury formerly lived in the Rogue River valley but has made nls home In the east for some time, and this waa hla first visit here In seven years. The Newburya have three little daughters, who did not make the trip west with them. They left Thursday by motor, trav eling via Crater Lake and the central Oregon highway.
