Hermas. driving a forestry service truck for the Evans 1 Creek CCC camp, reported to the city police Saturday that on Wednesday evening, about 7:15 o'clock, his truck struck a cow on the Sams Valley road. Witnesses named were J. 0. Manes, C. O. Denhart and H. P. Thurman. Reports Theft Dwlght Phlpps. su perintendent of the transient division of the emergency relief station report Saturday to state police that three woolen blankets, a cotton blanket, a heavy blue shirt, a rainproof coat and pair of pants and two pairs of shoes were stolen from the transient camp at Talent on rnaay nigm.. Bicycle Demolished The bicycle which John T. Miller of 318 Bessio r street was riding, was completely de molished Saturday afternoon, when It was struck by the automobile which Mrs. Stewart Porter of Route one, Medford was driving. The accident occurred at the corner of East Ninth , and Riverside avenues. No one was Injured. Suffers Minor Injuries Eugene Cook, aged 8. suffered minor Injuries to his Hp Friday afternoon at three o'clock, when he was struck by the automobile which Richard Mole of 710 North Riverside avenue was driv ing. The accident occurred at the cor ner of Hain and Central avenues. The Cook boy resides at 108 West Main street. Mr. Campbell of Corning court was listed as a witness. Reynolds In Medford Mr. and Mrs. J F Reynolds were here from Eu gene last week making arrangements t move to Medford. Mr. Reynolds will assist with the management of the Jackson hotel. He spent a num ber of years In the hotel business, and for the past seven years haa been manager of the Oregon note at Eu l gene He will be welcomed Into the business circles of Medford. Dickinson Reslgns-Oeorge L. Dick inson, who has been In charge ' of the liquidations of the closed banks at Ashland and Central Point for the atate bank examiner, resigned as cashier of the Curry County bonk at Its recent annual meeting at Gold Beach, and will continue In the serv ices of the state banking department. Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson are expected to move to Ashland In the near fu ture to reside for a short tlme Fire on Orange Street City fire men were called to the residence at 209 Orange atreet about 5:30 o'clock Friday evening to extinguish a lino leum fire, which had started from some oil. Jan. 27 (AP) Salaries for state Itquor store man agers, district supervisors and cler ical help in the state stores were announced here late today by State Liquor Administrator George L. Sam mis. All the salaries are subject to tem porary reductions . Imposed by the 1033 state legislature. Basic salaries of the three district supervisors will be 30o a month with actual salaries now of $246. Store managers will receive $150 a month, reduced to $133: store' clerks $115 n month, reduced to $102.35; and cashiers and stenographers, $80 a month, reduced to $72.80. Store personnel for Salpm and Ku pene has not yet been definitely de cided and probably won't be an nounced until late next week, Sam mis said. Sites for the stores In those towns will be announced some time next week. Two representatives of the liquor administration are now In southern Oregon viewing store sites at Med ford and Klamath Falls and Inter viewing prospective store employes.
