No damage resulted from tht Maze, firemen reported. Mr. Lake Injured The accident re port filed at the city police station by 8. M. Croucher of route 3. Medford. states that while he was driving down the Pacific highway, in the Berrv dale district, he struck a Mr. Lake, who was walking on the highway. Mr. Lake suffered injuries Including cuts, the report states. The accident oc curred at 5:30 o'clock last evening. Art Shop Display The Home Arts shop has a display In the Chamber of Commerce building this week. Illus trating the type of work carried on at the local shop. Included in the display are numerous enlargement and colored photographs as well as much original framing of southern Oregon scenes, utilizing the rustic materials available. t Ashland Boy Injured Harold Jen sen, 11, suffered fractures of both legs late Saturday afternoon when he was knocked to the pavement at Oak and Stanley streets by a oar driven by George High. Not Seriously Injured Mrs. Martha Shelton of Vancouver, wssh., wife of Sergeant John B. Shelton, stationed at the Civilian Conservation corps headquarters In Medford, was not seriously Injured in the auto crash Sunday morning, which resulted In the death of Mrs. Dorothy Thompson of Vancouver, according to a radio message received at the headquarters here Monday afternoon, Unit to Meet Phoenix Home Ex tension will meet Friday, December 15, at the Presbyterian church. FAIRGROUNDS HAS ROBINSON MUSIC George "Dlnty" Moore will present Johnny Robinson's orchestra, expo nents of the moat modern dance mu sic, at the Fairgrounds pavilion to night. The orchestra will leave for the fairgrounds Immediately after their last appearance at Hunt'a Cra ter 1 an theater. The band has played at the Olympic Hotel In Seattle and also three summers at Jantzen Beach In Portland. They are returning from an engagement In Venice, Cal., and Sweet's ballroom in Oakland. STATE SALES TAX Ti New Star On Holly Double Bill ' " v Medford Post of the Legion met In regular session last evening with a full calendar of work to be handled. Perhaps the most Interesting feature of the evening was a discussion of the newly passed sales tax for the benefit of the public schools. After a short discussion of the reasons for the application of this measure It was endorsed by unanimous vote of the post. Announcement was made of the Legion's annual Christmas day dance, Monday evening, December 35, at the Oriental Gardens. Special deco rations and music have been ar ranged for. As next regular meeting of the post would fall upon Chrlstmtts day, It has been set ahead one week and will be held Tuesday, December 19. That same evening the ladles of the auxiliary will stage a Christmas tree and party to which all ohtldren of legionnaires and auxiliary are Invit ed. DIES, CENTRAL PI Jasper Thomason passed away at the home of hie brother, C. P. Thom ason. In Central Pomt at 9 a. m. Tuesday at Vie age of 6fl. He waa born In Boone county, Arkansas, Jan uary 19, 1887. He had been a resi dent of Central Point since coming here from Seattle in 1033. Besides his wife, Mary Thomason, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ollle Wyatt of Clarkson, Wash., and Car rie Etrkorn, ot Oakland, Cal.; also his mother, Laura A. Thomason ot Central Point; three brothers and two sisters: C. P. Thomason, of Cen tral Point; A. R. Thomason, Rocking ham, N. C; Mrs. M. D. H oa kins was found by a Mr. Wolf at the time. Little Is known con cerning Kosklns, who had been work ing at the mine on; about three weeks. He had been there for visits a few times berore, Wolf told Frank Pert of the Perl undertaking par lors. The man had not been well for some time, according to reports.
