(AP) President Roosevelt, on returning from Georgia today, found the Immi nence of prohibition repeal thrusting tax and other problems forward for action and prepared to do his part toward aettlement. Among the first to be consulted by him was the acting secretary of the treasury, Henry Morgenthau, Jr., under whom the multiple taxea on liquor will be collected and whose recommendations on the subject are being formulated for congressional action. The state department made ready for quick proclamation of repeal when It hears by telegraph from the Utah convention, as the 36th to act, n mid-afternoon tomorrow. A presidential proclamation la ex pected simultaneously to assert the fact of repeal, thereby marking the end effectlw January 1 of taxes estimated at $212,000,000 a year.
