SlLVt.l SCREEN REVIEW By Mary Grelnrt Kelly. IX you are on who enjoys a pic ture for the acting, by all means don't mlaa "Tlie Narrow Corner." which opened to a substantial house at the Rlalto yesterday. For here la a pic ture which combines creative acting with Intelligent direction, and be cause of the two Is really worth while. The story (Somerset Maugham's) although not exactly new, Is one with plenty of romantic appeal, even for the Jaded appetite. And while It's South Sea Island stuff. It has a twist or two that takes it away from the former patterns. Douglas Fairbanks. Jr., gives all he has in this one; illttle Patricia Ellis Is a real surprise; Ralph Bellamy is at his best. But the real acting Is by those not featured. And you'd better try and catch their names yourself.
