The little luzzy animal had a bad
ly Injured leg, which apparently had
caused Its death In the street at the
corner on West Second street ao
neighbors not wanting the little "kit
ten" run over by any more passing
motorists, called the city police sta
tion, asking Mthat it be removed.
Chief of Police Clatous McCredle
telephoned the City Sanitary Service
and the large truck made a trip to
the address given by the officer.
There they found the little yellow
teddy bear, with the Injured leg.
Surprised, but fulfilling their duty,
the draymen took the little bear to
the place where all such dead pets
go.
One neighbor In that section this
morning said that she had noticed
all the passers-by "shy" past the
place where lay the little yellow heap,
and when another neighbor said,
"There Is a dead kitty across the
street,", the report was made to the
police.
