There waa plenty of fresh atuff for the trade. The market waa reported only about ateady. Considerable Into-re tall movement of eggs waa reported. The market generally waa active In all lta phases and setady at present price levels. Receipts were bare.y able-to meet the demand. In the week ending Wed nesday recelpte here amounted to 3.040 casts aa compared with 3.441 eases In the same week a year ago. Prices were unchanged. Cheese receipts at Portland In the past week dropped off sharply from the previous week, but still were above a year ago. The market was reported fully firm at unchanged prices. Most popular kinds were' In consistent demand. Supplies of good Oregon draven stelns were moderate and the market was winding up the week fully ateady ta from 61.36 to a 1.40 for extra fancy and down to 10c for Jumble pack. Peaches were slightly weaker, with prospects of a little too heavy carry over on some stocks. Prices ranged from '5c to lOo down on Elbertas. Hales In moderate supply and about steady. Tokay grapes eased off somewhat for the Friday trade, ranging down to 61.60. Heal fancy veal 'was scarce and was firm at 10 to 10e on 00 to 120 pound etuff. Most lines poultry were In ample supply except good quality springs, which were scarce and firm at cur rent prices. - Some Improvement was noted In the demand for bulls and the mar ket la fairly steady at around 4 to Sc. 1 Iowa Belle, a wllt-reslstant water melon developed at Iowa State col lege. Is reported "doing well" In dls- ease-infested fields of eastern Iowa. W. N. Reynolds, owner of Mary Reynolds, the year's lead ing trotting horse, congratulates Ben White who drove the fleet bay filly to a dramatic victory in the Hambletonian Stake.
