quate. Instruction In religion, a new de

BETTER FISH LADDEH
AT SAVAGE RHPDS K
A petition la being clreulsted thru-
out Jackson county today In the In
terests of the fish ladder at Savage
Rapids dam, it was announced this
morning. The petition reads as fol
lows: "We. the undersigned residents
and Inhabitants and sportsmen of
Jackson county. Oregon, hereby pe
tition the Oregon state fish and -game
commission to, as soon as possible,
reconstruct the fish laddera and fish
ways at Savage Rapids dam on Rogue
river so that the fish, salmon, trout,
and steelhead, coming up Rogue
river will pass up the flah ways snd
over the dam and to the upper Rogue
and use such money as It receives
from the R. F. C. or other sources
as Is proper and necessary for such
work.
"That under the present conditions
