' Accident Reported A collision at the corner of Sixth and Main streets was reported to city police. The ac cident occurred at 12:10 a. m., Sep tember 1. Drlvors of the automo biles were E. P. Merrick of this city and C. P. Wilson of 454 Jefferson street, Portland. Brings Flowers Here Mrs. Mary O. Carey, who resides on the Pacific highway south of Talent, brought a large bouquet of asters and zinnias to the Chamber of Commerce Sat urday morning. A., spent about an hour In Mod ford Friday afternoon, visiting the CCC headquarters and conferring with Major Clare H. Armstrong, In command here of this district. The major, accompanied by his aide. Captain Games B. Lee of the Presidio, was en route to his head quarters in San Francisco, following an Inspection tour throughout the district. Major General Craig stated that he was pleased with the way the CCC work was being handled in this district.
