Repair Fire Damage Painters were busy today at the Jackson county courthouse repairing the damage which resulted from a small fire In the storeroom of the second floor. Wetjen, who writes a dashing story of the sea. There have been thrilling rescues from oold waters in Inky darkness, after near despair. It now develops that the Portland and Salem author, who followed the sea before he turned to write about It. himself waa wrecked and nearly drowned last Wednesday night in the placid waters of the Willamette river. Mrs. Wetjen, another survivor, told the story. With another couple, the Wetjens took their motorboat downstram to meet the frigate Constitution. Later they decided on another cruise.
