No Over-matching The tourney bouts will be for three two-minute rounds and all matches ' are to be arranged according to age, weight, and ability as the spectators arrive on each night of the tourney There Is to be no over-matching of contestants and professional athletes are to be positively barred from this huge mlttfest. The tournament was awarded to Medford late yesterday and Imme diately afterward Lee Oarlock, post commander, named Carl Y. An open-air training amp Is to be established at the play ground near the Main street bridge. It will cost nothing to enroll, learn how to blx, and to compete for the high boxing honors. Training camps Also are to be set up In other cities nd towns In this part of the state whew warring rlngsters may prepare for the huge flatlc revival here. The local huskies are to report to the tourney officials at 7:30 o'clock Thursday night of thla week for en rollment at the training camp to be erected by that tune. Lee. Chausse, man ager of the Medford Municipal course haa mapped out a program whereby school boys be'.ween the ages of 12 and 19 can play on his course this summer for one dollar m month, and receive Instructions at no added ex pense, he announced yesterday. If enough of Medford's boys be come Interested In golf and play on the course this summer, a tourna ment will be arranged for them, Chausse said. Chausse Is making the offer for Medford's school children In the hope that Medford's youth will become ss Interested In golf as It la In football and basketball, with the resultant championships for Medford. "It will give the boys something to do, during the summer months when they can't work," Chausse said, "and will encourage the game. We need to have more of Medford's young men playing golf, and we'll develop some champions. The course Is In excell ent shape now, and I'm aure the boya will want to play If they c. afford It, therefore I'm making It so they can." LA GRANDE VOTES BONDS FOR CITY POWER PLANT LA GRANDE, Ore., July 23. (AP) La Grande voters Friday approved a $257,000 bond Issue for reconstruc tion of the Beaver Creek pipeline and for the building of a municipal power plant in connection with the water works betterment. The vote . was 1012 hr the bonds and 497 against.
