Of Interest to mining men of south ern Oregon Is action taken by the Associated Mining Associations of California to obtain federal permis sion for exportation of gold by the produoers, local miners announced today. A bill is now being framed by the association,- George Barton of the Southern Ortgon association stated, and will be presented to congress. If such a bill is approved, mining men will be able to enter their earnings in the world market and will realize 1 50 or 60 per cent more for their pro- duct. Although no definite action has (been taken by the Southern Oregon I Mining association In that direction. the members are watching eagerly the progress of the California bill, Mr. Burton stated, aa such legislation would mean much to this section, bringing about an -important Increase m gold production.
