Jackson county would receive .029356 of sales tax revenues aooortloned to counties; therefore an estimated apportionment of $3,000,000 of such revenues to counties In 1934 Jackson county would receive ap proximately $88,068. The distribution of this amount to the common school fund and to groups of tax levying mu. nlcloalltles of the county, based on 1932 Eeneral property taxes levied, would bring the figures listed and to cities and towns, $22,668.70 and to miscellaneous taxing districts $7 io ' Actual apportionment will be based on levies to appear on the 1933 tax roll. Hardy, no piker, dropped $30,000 on an Agua Calient home race and followed this with a $3000 turn at the roulette wheels, his wife averred. The comedian filed a divorce suit last week, alleging Mrs. Hardy drank to excess. This charges she denied In her cross suit today. It was the second action brought against Hardy since he decided to seek a divorce. His wife's sister, Mrs. Mary P. Hunter, asked $50,000 damages she claimed were suffered when Hardy beat and kicked her last June 39. Mrs. Hardy's suit alleged the fight started when the actor falsely accused her of "trying to check up on his conduct with a blonde," and then slapped her sister and his chauffeur. Then, she said, he armed himself with two shotguns and remained up all night. Mrs. Hardy claimed her husband earns $8000 a month and that their community property is worth $100, 000. She asked $1400 a month ali mony and a $4000 attorney's fee.
