IS AWARDED CASH PRIZE Among the award recently made to member of the senior claes of Med ford mgn school, was a cash prise presented to Wlldon Colbaugh for placing In the national League of Nations contest. Each year the League of Nation Association, Inc., conducts a national contest among the high achool atu- denta of the nation. An examination la given to teat the knowledge of the participant on the League of Na tion. Thla year two etudenta of Med ford high school participated, Alleen Ouy and Wlldon Colbaugh, The ex amination paper were mailed to the state chairman, and as a result, Wll don Colbaugh received a cash price representing honorable mention in the state finals. A total of 1330 manuscripts were submitted this year, and the national winner, who was awarded with a trip to Europe, waa Sidney H. Levy of Buffalo. N. T. Wlldon Colbaugh, local senior, who placed high In the competitive exams, haa been president of the Associated Boya during the ensuing year, as wall aa member of the band, orchestra, and debating team. Thla la the second year that the local hlh school has participated In the competition. Prep arations and administration of the examination were handled by Miss Josephine Ktrtley, head of the history department In tha local senior high achool.
