Ole Amoth and BJorne Paulsen, whose names are well known In the skiing world. With snow conditions expected to be favorable, new Jump ing marks for Port Klamath are ex pected to be made. Stars to Jump. It la probable Arvld Iverson, alio of Bend, and Dick Barnum of Port Klamath will take part In Jumps the same afternoon. Prise competition for club championships will be held on the following Sunday. Klamath Tails will be represented on both Sundays by the expected entry of Alf Ostmo. who has never failed to make a good showing In past carni vals. Always a popular event, the three mile race for ladles promises to be hard fought battle, Including Inge borg Skjersaa and Dorothy Lovgren of Bend as entrants. They are ex pected to offor atrong competition for Doris Noah, Port Klamath, and Vtnnle and Ida Briscoe of Malln, all . of whom have taken part In ski events tor several years past, Gcotty Allan, famed Alaskan mush er, and his dogs, are expected to ar rive late this week for racing events against one of the best dog teama available in the west. (AP) By a margin so convincing that It leaves room for not the slightest doubt, the late Knute Kenneth Rockne atands out as the greatest sports leader over the past decade, In the opinion or those who have most closely scanned the whirl of events over that period. Of the 80 experienced newspaper sports writers and edltore who cast their votes at the request of the AS- eoclated Press. 41 put Rockne's name at the head of their list of those con spicuous for their coaching, organiz ing and leadership ability. His aeain nearly two yeara ago in an airplane accident has not dimmed the lustre of the genius of Notre Dame and his accomplishments In Intercollegiate athletics. Rlckard, Mack Minority. Rockne's total points In this poll, on the basis of five for a first place, four for second place, and so on, nearly doubled the combined fig ures for his two nearest rivals, the late Oeoroge L. (Tex) Rlckard and Connie Mack. Rockne, elthor first or second on every list, finished with 341 points. Rlckard was next with 137 and Mack had 110.
