Chemswa's Indian warriors will ar
rive In Medford: on toe evening train
tomorrow to do battle with the Med
ford Tiger basketball team Friday
and Saturday nights In what will be
the best basketball aeries seen hen
this year. Chemawa cornea to Med
ford with an enviable record of only
one defeat, and of victories over sev
eral Portland high schooli. No one
has the bravery to make any predic
tions as to the outcome.
Brown of the Tigers has been laid
up with the flu. but It baok In
aihool today and may sea action to
morrow night or In the Saturday
gams at least, but may not play the
full game, Coach Burgher eald. Brown
Is a regular guard, and -umsn and
Hammock have been fighting It out
for the forward berth. If Brown is
unable to play White may take his
plaoe.
Locals Going Good
The Tigers have been hitting the
high spots since weir victory over
the' strong Klamath team, and now
have hopes of completing the season

Medford's basketball schedule Is
pretty well filled for the balance of
the season. Burgher aald, with the
Tigers playing Grants Pans In a con
ference game here February 10. and

following the Tigers play Klamath
Falls a return gams and also play
Chlloquln, on February IT and It.
Ashland meets the Tigers here Febru
ary 34, and the Tigers plsy In Ash
land on March 8. The two Aahland

Southern Oregon Normal took
hard earned victory of 88 to 31 from
the Texaco quintet last nlgnt on the
senior high school floor. Texaco, after
a slow start cams back after the half
to carry the game to the Invaders
The Sons took sn early lead, which
the Independents were never able to
overcome.
While the Sons did not plsy aa
smoothly as In most of the frays
In which they have taken part, they
did work on their plays until they
bad amassed a big lead which car
ried them through the Texaoo'a bril
liant last half rally.
The game waa rough and there were
many spills. Few fouls were called.
Willie Jones. Southern Oregon Nor

witn 13 markers to his credit. Bud
