Missionary society of the Presbyte rian church U making plans to give Its annual "Thank Offering Dinner" at the church February 14 at 6:30 p. m. The Junior Endeavor society will have a candy booth. Hot soup has been served for the past two weeks at the Jacksonville school to children bringing their lunches. The Jacksonville health committee served the first week and other ladles of the district will serve for the, rest of the cold weather. Newcomb, and family January 31. Mr. Hanna was seriously injured In a collision of his car with a Southern Pacific train some time ago, having been perma nently disabled In one arm. He was In Los Angeles seeking adjustment with the railroad company. Oeorge Lake, who came In here re cently from the Klamath section, Is planning to raise horses on a com mercial scale and la looking for a small hay ranch to rent.
