Among the other activities now in progress are the bowling, billiard and bridge tournaments. Roy Prultt, chairman of the bowling committee, haa eight team competing for the club championship and some of the best local talent is to be seen thrice weekly on the club alleys. Chris Qott Ueb Is again in charge of the billiard playera, and play in the balk-line division Is now on. In this division, the Chris Gottlieb trophy Is the grand prise, which must be won three years by any one Individual to gain permanent poesesslon, Reginald Fl fer, present champion, la defending his title this year and hoping to gain another win toward permanent pos session of the trophy. L. B. Haskins Is the bridge chairman and haa a large turnout of ird players every Tuesday night playing for weekly, monthly and sesson prizes. The season prize Is a silver loving cup to be engraved with the name of the win ner. The cup was donated by Gate It Lydlard. Another looked forward to event la the annual "Chrlstmae Tree," to be held December 15. According to secre tary W. A. Frazler, all the committee for this event are organized and It la hoped to realize enough from this affair to enable the lodge to take an active part In charity work again this winter. CAMP PLAN-FIXED Winter camp for First Class Scouts will be held In Crater Lake National park this year. Mr. E. C. Bollnsky, superintendent of the park, baa given Boy Scouts permission to use one of the large new bulldlnga at Gov ernment camp. The camp will be held during the Christmas vacation week, December 87 to 81, inclusive. A new plan Is being tried out this year, whereby Scouts may bring food from home. Menus and food lists have been prepared by headquarters. The Scoute will cook, eat, etc.. In groups of four, taking turns at the various camp duties. This plan gives the older Scoute some real training In camp cookery and reduces the coat of the camp to a minimum. . Scout Executive O. E. Hoover will be In charge of the camp, assisted by a number of Scoutmasters. Dr. Dan B. Standard, Scoutmaster of the Phoenix troop, wui be the physician In charge of the camp.
