Harold Lloyd Big
Hit at Craterian
It's been two years since Harold
Lloyd last treated, his fans to one of
hie films. That's a long time to watt
for a Lloyd picture, and yet, as "Mov
ie Crary." with Constance Cummings,
the film, to break the long silence.
unwound itself yesterday before
howling, guffawing audience in the
Craterlan theater, it seemed that
Lloya! picture is worth waiting two
years or even more to see.
To say that "Movie Crazy" Is the
best picture Lloyd has ever produced
sounds like the utmost extravagance
Yet the soberest consideration points
to that conclusion. It is chuck full of
brand new gags and of some of the
old ones dressed up as new ones and
funnier than ever. It has a good, con
sistent story, a strong supporting
cast, and Lloyd himself tops every
previous characterization. Something
has happened to the comedian m tthe
last two years. He la a subtler, more
mature, and generally better actor,
and gives the Impression that he
could carry a story by the force of
his personality even if it were not
gagged to the hilt with mirth-provoking
situations.

FISHES IN VALLEY
Claire Windsor, blond screen star,
who deserted the movies three and a

"I received a telegram the other
day from my manager, who said he
had a stage offer for me in New
York this winter, but I haven't enough
details yet to know if I care to take
it." she said. "I like home awfully
well, and I'd like to stay around there
long enough to let them know I'm
interested In getting back into the
movies."
MIas Windsor was en route south,

Hollywood. Last winter she appeared
on the stage with Al Jolson. and de
cided she didn't like "living in a
trunk."
Light sophisticated comedies are the
star's favorites, as she believes her
nhotmrranhs in that vein are much
better than those of a heavier mood.
Sitting In the lobby at the Jackson
hotel awaiting the car to take her
south, Miss Windsor was attired in
black, with a half-hat, the left side
allowing waves of golden blond hair
to protrude. She wore a heavy white
wool scarf wrapped tightly about her
throat.
