Mrs. Minnie Ouy, supervisor of mu- sle In the Rogue River and Gold Hill schools, report the unusual number of 40 girls and 8ft boys enrolled for glee club work In the Rogue River high school. For this size of school, this Is a record turnout. For a wonderful view of the valley there Is no spot mors advantageous than the site of the Independence school just back Jf the Edgevale or chards. The sightly location makes this school a place which could be made one of the most beautiful spots in the valley. It is a short drive of about thrift miles out the Voorhles Lane and through the Edgevale or chard, and from there there Is a wide panorama spread before the eye that Is well worth the drive. The schools of the county are co operating with the organized depart ments engaged In welfare work to the best of their ability.
