PL SUICIDE LEAVES Crowds will mill through the streets of Medford tonight to greet the South Pasadena drum corps, one of the leading drum corps of the United Staee, and winner of second place in the national competition at the American Legion In Portland thla week. The cots la scheduled to arrive here on the return souUj at an early hour this evening and will parade through the city, giving Medford colorful demonstration between 8:15 and 6:30 o'clock. At o'clock the corps will appear In concert at the Holly theatre. Upon arrival In Medford last Sat urday the corps waa a trifle disor ganised due to a wreck on the high way south of the city. The members were unable to don their uniforms but, without them, furnished the Medford public with many thrills and promise a better program to night. IN MO MISHAP A piece of board an Inch thick was driven through the right shoul der of Mrs. Esther Downing of this city when the car which ahe was driving with Mrs. W. W. Cameron of Jacksonville left a country road near the pioneer town yesterday afternoon and crashed Into a fence. State police, reporting the acci dent today, said Mrs. Cameron, who was at the wheel, lost control of the Durant coupe. She was not In jured but the Immense splinter from the fence struck Mrs. Downing with such force It continued through her shoulder. She was taken to the Com munity hospital about 6:30, where she underwent an operation for re moval of the wood. She was report ed resting easily today. Wall St. Report Bond Sales Averages. DuBols died at the Qulncy hospital a short time after he had shot him self In the bath room of a rooming house, where he had been living ae Ralph Anderson." DuBola waa unconscious from the time he entered the hospital, until he died. Two state police officials were tn the hoepltal while the doctors were trying to revive the man but they were unable to get any state ment from him. The shooting occurred while Nation al Guardsmen were searching the woods surrounding the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. DuBols at Plymouth for Mrs. Dubois' body and state de tectives and local police were search ing the awampy edge of a pond In roxboro. DuBola had been arrested In Ply mouth tn connection with the disap pearance, but waa released when a district court judge refused to Issms a murder complaint against him, aa re quested by police, on the ground that the authorities lacked sufficient evidence. Police received a call ahortly be fore noon today to go to a Handcoek street rooming house. There they round DuBols lying on the bathroom floor with a bullet wound In his head. He was taken to the hospital and died without regaining consciousness. Today . (P) Salem was the proudest city in the United States last night as crowds lined the streets to witness a parade In honor of the Capital Post 9 American Le gion drum corps, which won first place In the national drum corps competition at the Legion conven tion In Portland this week.
