Mr. and Mrs. Oetchell and daugh ter Olorla are leaving for Seattle Monday to attend the wedding. The bride-elect la a popular mem ber of Seattle's younger set. She Is a niece of Miss Katharine Caley of the St. Nicholas school and a gradu ate of the University of Washington, where she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Her marriage to Mr. OetcbeU comes as the culmination of university romance, the two having been on the campus during the same years. Mr. Getchell Is member of Chi Pal fra ternity and a prominent golfer In Seattle and Medford circles. Since graduation from the university he has made his home in Medford. Miss Katharine McOowan of Seattle will attend the bride, and George Parsons of Medford and Seattle will be Mr. Oetchell's best man at the wedding. Following the woddlng the bride and groom will leave for a several weeks' motor trip. They will be at home to their frlenda In Medford at their West Main atreet residence after October 1. Garden Club Float Wins Admiration Of Large Audience A beautiful contribution to the court house dedication parade In Medford last Thursday was the float entered by Vie Medford Garden club, which brought to the public a re freshing glimpse of summer's beauty Just as It Is on the verge of waning. The truck for the float was donated by Pester and Kletser, the garden furniture by the Monarch Seed and Peed company, and the decorations, designed by Thos. Swem, Mrs. Lewis Ulrlch, head of the Garden club committee, working on the project, was assisted by Mrs. H. P. Spllver, Mrs, Porter J. Neff, Miss Helen Bullts, Mrs. L. W. Stearns, to Charles Edward Saunders, son of Dr. and Mrs. C. E. Saunders of San Jose, Calif. A telegram from Grants Psse to Dr. Stearns yesterday morning an nounced that the couple had mar ried. Elaborate plans had been made for a home wedding at noon today, but the bride and groom eloped Saturday morning and are en route to coast points for their honeymoon. Childers' Observe 60th Wedding Day With Reunion Here The home of Mr. and Mrs. S. Chil ders, 531 Spencer St., will be the scene today of an interesting reunion, when their eight children and their fam ilies gather here to Join the Childers in celebrating the alxtleth anniver sary of their wedding, which will be realized December 11. The Monday presentation, how ever, will be the first by KNX. Grace Hampton, welt known actress, will take the role of the mother In the production. The play, when originally presented over KGO, brought a wonderful re sponse and Miss Norrls, the author, received In answer more than 1000 fan letters.
