Illn FRUIT WORKERS GIVEN IE HINT i 1 In view of the existing; auto license difficulty and the approach of the fruit harvest, Carl T. Tengwald of fered a suggestion today, aimed to aid workmen sans licenses In gettlnaj to work. Last year at his orchard, Mr. Teng wald said there were 80 pickers hired They came to work tn 23 cars. At the wages offered pickers this year, it would be highly impractical if the men had licenses for their autos, fos them to use that many cars for trans portatlon. So Mr. Tengwald suggest that one man transport six workmen to the orchard, collect a small fee from each and enable all to arrive on the Job at less expense. In eaahj crew, he pointed out these are prob ably several workmen who could not alford to operate oars with this) amount of help, "And" he concluded "there la real ly no reason for people to becom panicky regarding this Issue." 1 n Empire Ayres hall dedicated. 15$ 15! mh limn i ininj Claudette Colbert Cllve Brook "Man From Yesterday" Also ... on the Stage Gerry Thompson Tomorrow "Tonight or Never" TODAY AND TUES. l .e l lV It V SPOT IN TOWN BOOK CLUB?
