In Improved Condition Frank Jordan, who received serious Injuries at an early hour yesterday morning when his head and forearm were caught In the cut-off saw which he was operating for the Timber Prod ucts company. Goddard of 334 Plum street. is on display today at the Chamber of Commerce. The lovely flower, of pale pink, blotched with red, has been named "Miss Medford." The stalk was six feet in height before being cut for exhibition by Mr. God dard, and carries 13 blossoms and buds. Colvlg Returns Bob Colvlg re turned to Medford this morning from a three weeks' vagabond trip to Los Angeles. He returned to Portland aboard a Richfield tanker, on which he "enjoyed" waiting tables, making beds, polishing brass, and other duties. He was accompanied south by John Reddy, who remained In Hollywood with his brother Psul, MoNab at Lake John L. McNsb of Palo Alto. Cal., who nominated Her bert Hoover for president In 1928, was a visitor at Crater lake yesterday, en route to his home from the Re publican convention recently held in Chicago. Mr. McNab, who Is msklng a hurried trip to his home in the south, expressed enthusiasm over the Republican platform adopted, and renomlnatlon of the president. File Complaint A complaint was filed today In Justice court against Pluma Finney of Jacksonville, on a charge of possession of liquor. The case will probably bo heard tomorrow. Leave for Portland A group leav ing on the Shasta at noon today for Portland, where they plan to spend several days, were Mrs. J. A. Wester- land, Miss Holmberg, Mrs. May Als dorf and Mra. R. A. Morrison. Reserves Plea Dave Davis, charged with assault and battery, reserved his plea until 8 o'clock this afternoon when brought before Judge Olenn O, Taylor In Justice court today. Frlck, 30, waa fined $10 In Justice court this fore noon by Judge Olenn O. Taylor. Brommer called at the Sgobel and Day packing plant to collect the funds, when he was struck by Frlck, according to the court report. Hobert Woody, 3, of Oarlbaldt. Ore., one of the victims In the boat tragedy there July 8, waa the son-in-law of Mrs. Amy King of San Francisco, formerly of Medford, who was here at the time visiting. She was accompanied here by her daugh. ter. Mary Ann Thompson. Besides his widow, Mra. Alberta Woody, Mr. Woody la survived by his daughter. Ruby Ann, 14, sons, Robert 14. and twin boys, 4, besides his brothers Cohen, Ted and John of Hood River. Woody served aa a captain In the world war, and was a member of the American Legion and Masonic lodge. Being a keen mountaineer, he was a Krag Rat member. He was associated with the Standard OH company. His brother, Frank. 31, was also a victim of the accident. He la sur vived by his widow and two children. Mrs. King and daughter left last evening for Hood River, where silent funeral services were scheduled tor this afternoon. With the crater wall trail open and rental boats avail able fishing In Crater lake haa become one of the popular park at tractions. Several good catches of rainbow and steelhead trout were reported over the 4th of July holi days. A visitor at Crater lake every year, D. J. King of Olendale, Calif., waa one of the first to report a limit catch this season. The trout are In good condition and put up a game fight before being landed. Best catches are mad In the vicinity of Wizard Island, where fresh water shrimp, planted by the game commission several year ago, are most abundant.
