resides on the New Hope road near
Grant Pass, suffered Internal Injur

horses, with which he was raking hay,
became frightened, according to the
Grants Pass Daily Courier. When a
line broke, the horse became fright
ened, and ran down the road, throw
ing him under the rake. If one of the
doubletrees had not broken, causing
the rake to swing around, Rarlck
would have been dragged into the Ap

Neff, Paul Luy, Sam Beckman and
Dow Beckman returned Friday from
a hiking and boat trip down Rogue
river from Oallce to Gold Beacn
They made the last 30 mile of the
92-mlle trip in the boat and report
a thrilling journey with many oppor
tunities for falls, which they man
aged to evade. A wealth of scenery
was viewed from river ad trail, they
state,, recommending the trip to any
hardv woodsmen who want to see
Oregon badly enough to endure
rough trip and an extra growth of
beard.
