SARAH HULL WILL UP FOR PROBATE Tn will of the late Mrs. flarah A. Hull, pioneer resident, was filed today In circuit court for probate. Mrs Hull died May 22 last, and the will was made In January, 1031. The bulk of the estate Is left to two great-grandchildren, Clifford S. Beckett and Ruth E. Beckett of Eugene. The will provides that they ahare alike in all real and personal property, after other provisions have been fulfilled. Frank H. Hull, a eon of Chlco. Calif, Is left a promissory note for 350, and 5 D. E. Millard, of thla city, la left a combination desk and bookcase be longing to the deceased. The will named Millard as an arbiter, by one clause, if a certain contingency, now passed, should arise. The will also provided that Clar ence Pleroe of this city, be named as executor. J. W. Wakefield, Henry Currier, and Pauline Roberts are appraisers of the state. OIL OFFICIALS IN Standard Oil official from head quarter In San Francisco and Seat tie, and officials of the Vacuum Oil company of New York City arrived In Medford today to participate In the all-day conference attended by 89 manager from the Medford dis trict. Lubricating and moblloll oil waa the aubject announced for today by A. P. Johnaen, district aalea manager, with office here. He stated that rep resentatives of the company, Includ ing apectal salesmen were In attend ance from points throughout the district from Altura and Orescent City, Calif., and as far north aa Rose burg. Arriving by train today for the meeting were R. E. Hartllne, general oredlt manager of San Francisco; E. M- Burnham, general aalea manager of Seattle; and -0. J. Moody, manager of the lubricating department of San Francisco, all of the standard Oil. F. W. Sullivan and E, H. Hallock, representing the Vacuum Oil com pany of New York Olty were also here and addressed the meeting. A large banquet la planned for this evening at the Hotel Medford a a finale to the one-day conference. (AP) Decrease of 3,803,370 gallons of gaaollne was reported in the total salea for April in Oregon as compared to the same month a year ago, the secretary of state's office reported today The decrease In gasoline tax receipts was 1121,586. The secretary of statu an nounced the readjustment following the "price wars" In March caused much of the decrease. The total gasoline sales for April waa 11,065,306 gallons resulting in tax receipts for the month of 9477,029. For the first four months of 1032 tax revenues amounted to 91,007,710 on almost 47,000,000 gallons, or a decrease In receipt of 940,876 from the first four months of 1931. NEW YORK, June 3. (AP) John McGraw today announced his resig nation as manager ,of the New York Giants after 30 years oi leadership. He gave ill health as the reason. He will be succeeded by Bill Terry, the club's flrstbaseman. McOraw will remain aa vice presi dent and stockholder. As he gained altitude he turned the plane around and headed eastward. A navy plane also accompanied nlm as an escort. He carried 60 letters, some of which he planned to drop over the Croydon airport near London, and, if condi tions were favorable, .he hoped to fly over ia Bourget, Paris, to drop some. Raskob waa charged with short selling today and promptly de nied the charge, but added that he thought short selling perfectly proper when "properly conducted." The chairman of the Democratic national committee, questioned be fore the senate banking committee by its counsel, William A. Gray, said he always had more long stock In his regular account than he sold ex cept in two transactions in which he admitted that he waa "technically short." Gray pointed to one particular sale in 1627 which he said waa a short transaction and asked why Raskob sold the stock. "For some personal reason, I sup pose," Raskob replied, "for Income tax purposes to establish a profit or loss." Monmouth Roused To Save Normal MONMOUTH, Ore,, June 3.
