PAGE THREE Society and Clubs Edited by Eva Nealon Business Women Hare Pleasant Dinner Party Delegates to the state convention of Business and Professional Wom en's clubs recently held at Klamath Falla entertained at dinner Wednes day evening at the home of the local president, Mrs. Edwlna Wetshaar, complimenting other members of the club. Covers were placed for 20 guests at the festive table decorated in rosebuds from the garden of Mrs. Jacque Lenox -nd clever favors Il lustrating the various businesses and professions now followed by the B. P. W. club members. Following dinner a report of the convention was made by the dele gates and plans for the coming year In local club work discussed. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Welshaar, Mrs. Belva Aiken, Mrs. Alice Coppln and Miss Winifred Walker. Many Attend Class Day at Valley SchUl The Valley school Is a popular gath trlng place today of local society folk, attending the class day festivities of the school. The program opened this morning at 11 o'clock and was fol lowed by luncheon for which a large number of cards were issued. W. An-tle. Mrs. Hall to Fete House Guest at Bridge Event. Mrs. Caster Entertains Honoring Sons and Niece Phoenix Mrs. Tom' Caster enter tained last Friday afternoon with a party in honor of the birthdays of her sons, Otto, and Norman, and her niece, Shirley Burleson. The guests were Harold French, Barbara Garri son, Millie Burleson and Dean Caster, who were accompanied by Mrs. Ed French, Mrs. L. O. Caster, Mrs. R. R. Burleson, and Mrs. Earl Anderson. Small Individual birthday cakes was made for each of the little ones, with candles corresponding to the age of each adorning It. Graduate Nurses Anticipate Party A very pleasant party Is anticipa ted' by members of the graduate nurses association of District No. 4, next Thursday evening, June 4. Society Folk Going To School Again Turning their thoughts to books again a group of local society folk are each afternoon attending a class at the Hotel Holland. Instructed by Miss Verona Hill, psychologist, who has been lecturing in Medford for the past several weeks. Members of the class are anticipa ting organization of a club following completion of the eight day course. In the enthusiastic group meeting In the Holland drawing room are Mesdames G. M. Miss Reynolds Entertains With Two Tables of Bridge Miss Dorothy Reynolds was hostess at bridge last evening at the Hotel Holland, with two tables in play. The rooms were attractively decorated for the occasion, with prize for high score going to Mrs. Holt Wilson, and second to Miss Dee P'heffel. Guests for the evening were; Mrs. Jeanne Laid ley, Mrs. Wilson, Miss Carmen Hlttson, Mrs. Ralph R. Bai ley, Miss Scheffel and Miss Jane Mc Quat. Miss Edwards Here From Seattle This Week Miss Icel Edwards arrived Sunday from Seattle to be guest for a short vacation of her father, G. A. Edwards, and her sisters, Mrs. Chester Hub bard and Misses Georgia and Adra Edwards. Sunday School Class Enjoys Party Wednesday Mrs. James Cornutt and Roland Hover entertained their Sunday school classee Wednesday night at Mrs. Cornutt 's home. Games were en Joyed and refreshments served by the hostess, assisted by Miss Doris Rich ardson. MU .Jordan Honored At Central Point Party CENTRAL POINT Miss Alleen Jor dan of Grants Pass spent the week end with her friend, Miss Dorothy Jones who was home from Ashland normal for Memorial day. Honoring Miss Jordan, the following guests were entertained at the Jones home Saturday afternoon, Misses May Eich er, Katherlne Lathrop. Helen Lees, Nellie Etcher, Frances Faber and Mar Jone Jones. Tea was served by the hostess, Miss Dorothy Jon?s. Mrs. Gore Invites Pupils, Mothers to Tea Mrs. E. E. Gore will entertain with tea and muslcale at her home, 116 Geneva, Thursday afternoon, June 8, for her piano pupils, their mothers and Interested friends.
