If increased make of butter Is shown in th terrltor tnpuiary to Port land and Increasing supplies ar reaching the local market. Local churning Is also Inclined to show a very liberal increase despite prev ious Ideas that the flush had been reached. There was no further change In the price of butter for the day al though it was apparent that the lat est advance in the market was a trifle out of line with supply and demand, Butterfat values are considered steady. There continues a lack of general price change in the market for eggs here with receipts still of very lib eral volume. Underselling by unat tached producers la the chief bear ish Influence w.hlch keeps Portland prices below other coast points. Demand for live chickens Is being taken care of by rather fair volume of late offerings here. All sorts are In liberal supply and especially the colored stock which Is moving more slowly. Strawberry prices are generally be ing held here with the absence of Callfornlan. Local receipts are In creasing but not In volume to take care of the demand without the southern product. Most sales of top quality, $3.36 crate. G. Strawberry shipments from the Or ants Pass section of the valley have totaled about 4,000 crates this season, with dally shipment averag ing 060 crates, according to an ar ticle appearing in the Grants Pass Pally Courier.
